Astro Mohan, known internationally for his mastery in photojournalism, has spent over three decades capturing the pulse of life across India. As Senior News Photographer at Udayavani, one of Karnataka’s leading dailies, his camera has witnessed history, culture, spirituality, and the silent beauty of everyday moments.

With over 500 national and international photography awards to his credit, Mohan is not only a Canon EOS Maestro but also holds prestigious titles such as APSA, HON.FSWAN, HON.EUSPA, MICS, FICS, FIIPC, FFIP, and ASOF. His photographic books – Udupi Then and Now, Pictorial Journey to Udupi-Manipal, A Day with a Saint, among others – have become cultural touchstones, preserving the changing landscapes and traditions of coastal Karnataka and beyond.

But his artistry extends beyond the camera: Mohan is also a magician, astrologer, palmist, cine actor, orator, and art critic. A self-taught talent, he has inspired generations of photographers through his workshops, lectures, and mentorship. His involvement with international photography bodies like the Photographic Society of America (PSA) and the Federation of Indian Photography (FIP) has further amplified his influence on the global stage.
